Founder of Hunprenco Passes Away at the Age of 90

It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of Mr Eddie Neesom MBE, founder of Hunprenco. Mr Neesom passed away on the 7th of December age 90.

Mr Neesom initially started Hunprenco in 1969 when he made a conscious effort to help glassmakers who struggled to find good quality Plungers and Coolers get what they needed, by applying his engineering and machining skills to meet demands. He never looked back.

It was in 1974 that things really started to take off when Eddie was approached by two gentlemen from a glass container industry in South Yorkshire, to refurbish plungers for them. These humble beginnings led the company to where it is today.

It was Eddie’s hard work, determination, skill and forward thinking that led Hunprenco from its humble beginnings to being a world leader in precision engineering that employs over 100 staff from the local area.

We are all devastated at this news and our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Marilyn, His daughters Helen, Jane, and Sarah and his son Tim.

Mr E Neesom's Funeral will take place on 23rd December 2022. The funeral procession will be passing Hunprenco at roughly 11:45am, giving anyone not attending the service a final opportunity to pay their respects.

For people who wish to attend the service, the funeral will be held at Octon Crematorium at 12:30pm. Octon Cross Road, Driffield, North Humberside, YO25 3BL.

The service we received from Hunprenco was second to none. I would definitely recommend them to any business looking for high quality plungers and coolers.
